MILLBURN, NJ — Next week, the Millburn School District will host a presentation by Dr. Khyati Joshi that examines issues of race, immigration and citizenship in the district.
The program will take place Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the Millburn High School Auditorium. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held on Feb. 4.
According to a press release sent out by the school district, the workshop builds on the efforts of the township and school district to continue to engage in conversations about the needs and interests of the members of our community in positive, mutually respectful ways.
The Millburn School district has had Dr. Joshi in over the past two school years to work with teachers, administrators and staff. She trains with Millburn teachers to help them better support and understand school district policies on the matter.
