MILLBURN, NJ - Millburn beat out 500 other New Jersey municipalities to claim the #13 spot on New Jersey Monthly’s annual list of the Garden State’s Top 100 Towns. The September issue won't hit the newsstands until August 29, but the monthly released the Top 20 list in the lead up to publication.

New Jersey Monthly called in Leflein Associates, an independent research firm in Ringwood, New Jersey, to compile the data for New Jersey Monthly. The factors for determining the rankings include home prices, real estate taxes, school results, crime rates, and hospitals. Lifestyle amenities also factor into the final tally with access and to theaters and restaurants rounding out the criteria.

Millburn frequently finds itself in the top tier of school and town rankings. Millburn High School ranked #4 in New Jersey Monthly's bi-yearly list of top public high schools. Niche.com ranked Millburn Public Schools at #2 in the state and #36 in the nation.
