MILLBURN, NJ - Residents 62 and over may call one day in advance for transportation within township boundaries to medical appointments, grocery shopping, meetings and activities. Passengers must be able to board and leave the bus without assistance. The bus has lift capability and an aide is permitted to ride with a disabled individual to assist with entering and exiting the vehicle. To avoid delays, passengers are not permitted to change or add to their itinerary once on the bus.
If you need the bus service, please call 973-564-7076 between 7:00 am - 8:15 am at least one day before you need the bus. No same day calls will be accepted. Please note: there is no provision for leaving a message at this number.
The senior bus provides free service five days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm and Thursday, 8:30 am - 12:00 pm. The bus is serviced each Thursday afternoon.
Please be ready when the bus comes to pick you up. It is not fair to keep the other passengers waiting.
If you are waiting for the senior citizen bus and it is significantly delayed, please call the customer service number at Town Hall, 973 564-7097. Customer Service will know if the bus has had a breakdown or if another serious problem has occurred.
