MILLBURN, NJ - The Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce has extended the application deadline for candidates to be considered for serving on its 2013-2014 Board of Directors.  Any candidates who are interested must complete the required online survey by April 8.

“Our Board of Directors is a hard-working, passionate group of business leaders. We are putting our nominations online to create a transparent nomination process. Serving on the Board of Directors allows members from the business community to have a voice in Chamber policies while serving this community we want to see thrive,” said Ileana Martin-Novoa, President of the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce, in a prepared statement.

Board members are required to attend regular monthly board meetings, and to serve on at least one committee, such as Marketing, Fundraising, Finance/Budget, Membership/Volunteers or Special Events.

Depending on the number of candidates, the Chamber’s Nominating Committee may not be able to seat everyone interested, and selections will be made by the current Board of Directors.
