Millburn Street Fair Set for Sunday Sept. 22

MILLBURN NJ – Next Sunday at Millburn Avenue and Spring Street, more than 150 vendors and artisans  will be setting up their stands for the Millburn Street Fair. The streets that are normally hectic with traffic will instead be the place for a free and fun-filled family day of food, music, entertainment, and shopping for unique gifts, clothes and jewelry.

The Millburn Street Fair will be taking place on Sept. 22 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. All are welcome and admission is free.  Millburn Avenue and Spring Street will be closed to vehicle traffic, and free parking is accessible in all municipal lots.

Intercontinental food from tacos to funnel cakes will be available as well as fun games such as inflatable rides, a petting zoo,  pony walks, clowns, jugglers, and of course live music.

Beginning at 11 a.m., DJ John will be playing music and facilitate a dance jam outside in Lot No. 5 next to Town Hall. WDHA-FM and WMTR-AM radio stations will give out prizes until supplies run out.

Flying Dogs of Jupiter Band, who have performed at multiple outdoor festivals across New Jersey, will also have a live show.

Millburn BOE's John Westfall-Kwong at Greenwood Gardens

SHORT HILLS, NJ - Random Walk caught up with John Westfall-Kwong at the Greenwood Gardens' "Bees, Birds and Butterflies" event on Sunday.  The annual event introduces members and guests to the world of bees, raptors and butterflies with discussions provided by experts, along with displays and activities for all to enjoy.  About 100 folks braved the hot weather to attend.

On July 19, 2016 Millburn Police Officer Salemi stopped a 1991 Toyota Camry at Rt 124 and Farley Place for inoperable tail and brake lights. The investigation led to the arrest of 61 year old Deborah Bearg out of Maplewood on an outstanding Millburn traffic warrant. Mrs. Bearg posted bail and was released with a court date.
