MILLBURN, NJ – Once again Millburn Township Public Schools ranks as one of the best school districts in America, according to the 2019 Niche.com rankings. This year Millburn tops the list as the No. 1 school district in New Jersey, moving up from the No.2 slot last year. Additionally, Millburn ranked No. 1 in the categories of Safest School, Best Places to Teach and Districts with the Best Teachers in New Jersey. Nationally, Millburn ranked No. 14 in Niche’s rating of 10, 758 school districts in America.
Millburn received an overall grade of “A+” in Niche categories such as Academics, Teachers, Clubs & Activities, Health & Safety, Administration and College Prep. An overall grade of “A” was given for Sports and Resources & Facilities but receiving a “B+” for Food and a “B” for Diversity.
“ The Niche grades and rankings are calculated using dozens of public data sets and millions of reviews,” according to the rating company’s website. Data and analysis is also derived from the U.S. Department of Education along with test scores, college data and statistics. The most significant weight given to their methodology is on academics, which accounts for 50% of the total ranking.
School districts near Millburn ranked in the top ten are Summit (4), Livingston (5), Chatham (6), and Bernards (7).
