MILLBURN/SHORT HILLS, NJ – The Millburn Township and Public Schools have announced the following updates:
Emergency Management: Even though the storm is over, residents are encouraged to stay off the roads so that municipal vehicles may continue to plow and widen the roadways of snow.
The concern is as temperatures begin to drop this evening, the conditions will become icy until the early morning hours. The state of emergency continues to stay in effect and as such vehicles are not permitted in the roadway. Vehicles that block roadways will be removed.
Public Works: As all garbage and recycling collection was canceled on Saturday, Jan. 23, recycling for Zone 6 will be made up on Monday, Jan. 25. Garbage collection for Zone 3 and 6 will be on the next schedule date of Wednesday, Jan. 27.
Public Schools: All Millburn Township schools will be closed tomorrow, Jan. 25. to allow for continued plowing of snow and concerns over pedestrian safety.
The Board of Education meeting will take place as scheduled at 7:45 p.m. at the Ed Center.
