MILLBURN, NJ - On September 1, 2017, Millburn Township will be switching its emergency communications vendor to Swift911 (SwiftReach) from CodeRed. Residents can register for Swift911 using the following link: Swift911 Portal
Swift911 will allow users to subscribe to the alerts/emergency messages they would like to receive from our community. Subscription categories will include the following: severe weather advisory, animal alerts, road closures, utility disruptions, emergency management messages, township events, and senior events.
Instructions for subscribing to emergency alerts can be accessed using the following link: Swift 911 Registration Subscribers will also be able to advise us of functional or access needs in their contact information section.
Registering for alerts is simple. Residents can sign up via a portal on Millburn’s website, or download the Swift911 Public App. To download the app text SWIFT911 to 99538.
For those residents without an email address, a form can be downloaded from the town’s website and returned to us. The form can be accessed using the following link: Swift911 Paper Sign Up Form Please remit to Millburn Fire Department, 459 Essex Street, ATTN Swift911. Registration instructions will be posted on the Millburn’s website.
Details about the Home Alone monitoring program will be released over the coming months. The service automatically calls listed residents once or twice a day, depending on need, to check on their status, asking them to press 1 if they’re OK, or press 2 if they are not. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
Prior to September 1st, emergency alerts will be posted on both the CodeRed and Swift911 services. On September 1st, only residents who sign up with Swift911 will receive emergency alerts.
