MILLBURN, NJ – The Investor’s Bank President’s Cup race in Millburn brought torrential rains, but shined the spotlight on two rising track stars, Evan Feldman and Chace Redler. Each took first in their age groups, putting up times that scored them 24thand 36thplace overall in the race.

Feldman, a Millburn Middle School student coming off his win at the Millburn 4 Miller less than two weeks ago, took the 10-14 age group with a time of 19:12.

Redler, a Hartshorn third grader, took the 10 and under crown for the second year in a row with a time of 20:20.

Both youngster endured the elements and preserved against a number of youth competitors from neighboring towns and track clubs.

“I am extremely proud of all of these dedicated kids and look forward to years of fun and success from them all," said Michael Feldman, a coach for the Millburn Recreation Spring Track and Cross County teams. “I was excited to see so many young local runners disregard the steamy heat and pouring rain to race in the 2018 President's Cup 5K in downtown Millburn this past Monday evening.  It will be great next year having rising superstar Chace Redler (already breaking records before age 10) join the Rec programs, though I will miss coaching my son Evan Feldman - who moves up to the Millburn High School program in the Fall.”
