New Children’s STEM EdVenture Lab Launches in Livingston
My Tech Learning provides a fun environment where children explore science and technology concepts through hands-on projects
LIVINGSTON, January 31, 2018 – My Tech Learning opened its new STEM EdVenture Lab at 45D East Northfield Road in Livingston. The new space offers year-long classes, vacation and summer camps and birthday parties for children aged 6 to 14.
"This is a very exciting time in science and technology, especially for children," said Karen Akinsanya, PhD, Founder and Chief Scientist. "Kids today are growing up in a world where science and technology touches almost every part of their lives. They are curious and eager to experiment, learn and innovate. Schools are offering STEM courses, but parents realize that their children want more. We welcome these curious young minds into our lab to explore math, physics, chemistry and life science topics and to investigate current and future applications.”
My Tech Learning’s programs examine the use of math, science and technology in health and beauty, engineering, robotics, virtual reality, coding, design, music and movie production and data science. Children conduct projects in grade level groups, present their findings to their peers and parents and receive a certification upon completion of each session.
The lab also offers themed birthday parties that include creating slime and bath bombs, conducting science experiments and learning about robotics and coding. A community tech talk series features global technology leaders.
