SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - Ricalton's Village Tavern has a new restaurant staff. The change has been sparked by an entirely new way of thinking when it comes to your dining experience. This new philosophy has been introduced by our brand new management staff. As of July 2016, our owner Tom McLaughlin decided it was time to look forward and embrace the spirit of change SOMA has embodied, over the last years. With that in mind, he decided to bring in former NICO Kitchen + Bar (NJ PAC) General Manager, Christopher Keys, as well as former Assistant Manager Leah Coston. Between the two they have 25+ years of experience, having worked their way up the proverbial restaurant food chain.
The transformation would not be complete, if we weren't offering you a higher quality of food, made with the best ingredients from local sources. So to complete the total transformation of RVTs, we've brought in former 77 Walnut (Montclair) and NICO's chef Alfredo Gonzalez to round out our team. While only 24 years of age, Alfredo has excelled in every aspect of the culinary world-- earning his position here at RVT, as our new Executive Chef.
