MILLBURN, NJ - In a sign of spring renewal the Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills announces a new look for the group with a website redesign and fresh, new logo designed by district student Dhruv Kapur.  Celebrating its 20th year of existence, the organization serves to support the Millburn public school curriculum by providing equipment, technology, programs and staff development that cannot be funded within budget caps.

The website, www.edfoundationmillburnshorthills.org, was designed by town resident and Ed Foundation member Michael Keyles along with Co-Presidents Debbie Rieder and Amy Talbert.  "We think the new site has much more color, is more user-friendly and shows more of what the Ed Foundation is all about and how we help our schools," says Talbert.  Site highlights include an online shopping cart for donations and purchase of event tickets, information on events, mini-grant information and applications, and much more.

The new logo was derived from a district wide contest initiated and managed by Ed Foundation members Shannon Aronson and Robin Eichler and had more than 30 entrants. With a large talent pool in the district and the support of the district art teachers, the competition was tough.  Winner, Dhruv Kapur, is an 8-year-old 3rd grader from Hartshorn Elementary School.  "We were so impressed with all the creative logo entries we received and it was difficult to choose,” says Rieder.  “In the end, we chose Dhruv's logo because it had a fresh, original feel, communicates clearly what the Ed Foundation is all about and had the right look for our new website. We are very grateful to Dhruv."

Next up for the Ed Foundation is the Millburn Film Fest red carpet premiere on Thursday, April 11, 7 PM at Millburn High School where logo contest winner Dhruv Kapur will be awarded with his prize. On display will be all the contest entries.  Sponsored by The Gonnella Team, Regal Bank, and New York Film Academy, the film fest will screen 9 student-created films.  A daytime encore performance will be held on Thursday, April 18 at 11 a.m. at the Millburn Clearview Cinema.
