MILLBURN, NJ - Commuters to New York Penn Station can expect delays this morning as NJ Transit works to resolve what they call a "minor derailment." NJ Transit is reporting that customers can expect 15-minute delays, but that all trains will still operate on their regular schedule.
Last night at approximately 9:00 pm, one car of North Coast Line train No. 3276 derailed in the Hudson River tunnel. There are currently no reports of injuries to the 100-150 passengers aboard.
This derailment comes as NJ Transit kicks off an 8-week repair program that is going to significantly impact commuters.
