Numerous Burglaries to Motor Vehicles Strikes Millburn

On February 21, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Lipke responded to a Highland Ave residence on a burglary to vehicle report. The resident reports sometime overnight unknown actor/s entered her 2015 Chevrolet Suburban and husband’s 2013 Ford F150 and rummaged through the center consoles. Nothing appeared to be missing. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On February 21, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Recinos responded to Macys on a theft report. Macys personnel report 23 year old employee Robert Walker out of Vauxhall concealed 3 articles of clothing on his person valued at $128.50 and left the store without making payment. Mr. Walker was charged with shoplifting and turned over to the Union Police Department on an outstanding criminal warrant.

On February 21, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Shanahan responded to the Bergen County Correctional Facility on a warrant arrest. Naimah Battles-Anafi, age 37 out of Newark, was placed under arrest on an outstanding criminal warrant and remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility on default of bail.

On February 22, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Laverty responded to a Knollwood Rd residence on a burglary to vehicle report. The resident reports sometime overnight unknown actor/s entered her 2014 Mercedes Benz ML3 and rummaged through the glove compartment. Nothing appeared to be missing. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On February 23, 2017 Millburn Police Officers responded to Bodwell Terrace, Winding Way, and Great Hills Drive on reports of burglaries to motor vehicles. The residents’ report sometime overnight unknown actor/s entered a 2011 Nissan Rogue, 2012 Volvo S60, 2015 Honda Pilot, 2011 Toyota Prius, and a 2008 Honda CRV and rummaged through the center consoles and glove compartments. The Great Hills Drive resident reports $10.00 in change missing.  The incidents are under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On February 25, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped a 2015 Honda Fit on Millburn Ave for having tinted windows. The investigation led to the arrest of 27 year old Erik Diaz out of Newark for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Diaz was issued a summons and released.

On February 26, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Barbosa responded to the Swarovski store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Swarovski personnel report the theft of 6 pieces of jewelry valued at $1326.00. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

 February 26, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped a 2017 Honda Accord on Church/Main St when the owner was found to have an active warrant. Bridgette Johnson, age 48 out of Millburn, was placed under arrest on an outstanding criminal warrant and turned over to the Warren County Sheriffs Department.
