SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - PlayDay, South Orange's largest public event, has been postponed from this Sunday, Sept. 18, due to the weather forecast predicting rain and thunderstorms. PlayDay is rescheduled for Sunday, Sept. 25, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. For a full schedule of PlayDay events and activities, click here.
PlayDay is part of South Orange's 3rd annual Stay and Play weekend, and all other events will go on this weekend as scheduled. Stay and Play events this weekend begin with an overnight camp out at Waterlands park tonight, Fri., Sept. 16, and continues on Sat., Sept. 17, with the Newstead 5K, a historic baseball game at Cameron Field, a special 150th Birthday Bash for the South Orange Public Library, and a performance of Eaglemania at SOPAC. On Sun., Sept. 18, South Orange Newcomer's Day is from noon to 1 p.m. at the South Orange Public Library.
