MILLBURN, NJ - A spree of power outages Tuesday led to Millburn residents being temporarily left without electricity. According to JCP&L, there are currently four outages remaining to be repaired. Unrelated to these outages, some Short Hills residents received notices that power would be temporarily shut off tomorrow beginning at 8:00 a.m. and resuming by 3:00 p.m.
Power also went out in neighboring Springfield just before the 11:00 a.m. hour, with JCP&L crews dispatched to areas up and down Mountain Avenue as well as other secondary and tertiary streets in town.
By 1:13 p.m. the live JCP&L outage map showed that most of the incident reports had been addressed in both towns, as the final sites being worked on by crews.
A call to JCP&L spokesperson Cliff Cole was returned, and he said that the company was still in the process of investigating the outages, and that further information would be released when it was collected.
