Q Rim: A True Public Servant for State Assembly

Won Kyu “Q” Rim, devoted husband, father, and dedicated community servant has announced his run for State Assembly in Legislative District 27. Q brings to the table years of leadership experience from business, ministry, policy and even the football field, but more important than any of that, he will bring your voice back to Trenton.

Q is currently an elder-in-training at his home church, Abundant Life Worship Center, where he has served as the mission’s director since 2011. Prior to joining the ministry, Q was a small business owner and founder of Cavalry Cleaning in Randolph, NJ. A native of District 27, Q has a deep passion for helping those in the community and has served its great citizens already as a key leader in a ground breaking community outreach center, a high school and middle school football coach, and a member of the Hanover School Board.

Throughout his years of community leadership, Q has seen time and time again the unfortunate reality that many politicians no longer engage in true public service. This has led to a longstanding run of reckless government spending, crippling property taxes, and broken funding formulas that are eroding the bedrock of our state.

Q, speaking on his campaign, said, “If you listen to the chatter from Washington or Trenton, you’ll realize our communities have all too often been reduced to a collection of numbers and dollar signs. That just shouldn’t be the case. This campaign is about listening to and serving the residents of District 27. That’s what is missing in government today. We’ve been trained to think of ourselves living within the confines of government rather than the government existing to serve us, the people."

Q’s legislative focus revolves around reforming the education funding formula, overhauling government spending, and renewing focus toward tailoring policy solutions that benefit families first. Responsible government doesn’t arbitrarily cut programs that help its people, but it insures that government spends your money in a way that most benefits you and your families. It is time to disrupt the status quo in Trenton and bring in a greater spirit of bipartisanship and cooperation to solve our state’s most urgent issues.
