Journey to Wisner Faire and Celebrate the Ancient Rites of Spring on Daffodil Day at Reeves-Reed Arboretum. As the snow melts and the bone-chilling winds quiet, we prepare for spring – a time of renewal, greening of the earth, and rejuvenation of the human spirit.

A fun-filled day of revelry, Daffodil Day will feature activities the entire family can enjoy! As part of Reeves-Reed Arboretum’s music residency program this year, kids can create original sonnets and haikus set to music
and performed by Rose and the Nightingale. For the more adventurous types, skilled instructors will provide lessons in archery and an introduction to the ancient art of falconry. And the little ones can participate in spring-themed games, nature crafts, and the Flower Fairy &Woodland Elf Parade through the Daffodil Bowl.

Daffodil Day at the Arboretum is Free to RRA Members and open from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Visitors to the Arboretum will enjoy one of the largest daffodil collections in New Jersey – over 40,000 bulbs in bloom in the Arboretum’s glacially carved Daffodil Bowl. A spectacular display of color, the collection was originally planted in the early 1900’s and has been expanded over the years. A professional photographer will be on hand to take family photos. Food and refreshments will also be available. An outdoor market featuring farm to table specialties will be on site.

Daffodil Day is sponsored by Hilltop Community Bank and Iannella, Inc.
