On Thursday, October 11th Congregation B’nai Jeshurun, Short Hills, will welcome Bob Woodward as the 2012 Cooperman Family Distinguished Speaker.  Mr. Woodward will be speaking at 7:30 pm on The Election of 2012.

Mr. Woodward is best remembered for his investigative reporting of the Nixon Presidency and Watergate Scandal.  “It is the responsibility of reporters to be aggressive, as long as they are fair and accurate. The media has a responsibility to question the actions of our leaders and to investigate any concentration of power.  But reporters have an equal responsibility to prevent their own biases from influencing coverage.  The media today probably does not dig deeply enough or spend sufficient time on stories.”

Author of 16 books, Mr. Woodward’s latest, The Price of Politics has just been published.  Members of the public are welcome to hear this eminent journalist, but tickets must be obtained by emailing cooperman@tbj.org.  This program is offered as a gift to the community.
