Short Hills, New Jersey — Community Congregational Church, located at 200 Hartshorn Drive in Short Hills, is featuring an uplifting sermon series entitled “Rise…Above Trouble to Glory” during Lent.  We invite you to journey with us from Ash Wednesday through Easter and feel encouraged! The Sermon Series will highlight passages from the Bible to help you understand how to rise above personal challenges, so you can fully celebrate life on Easter Sunday!  Lead Pastor Johann Bosman and Pastor Jennifer Testa Hrynyk bring the stories to life, Sundays at 10:30am.

Children are most welcome at Community Church.  Concurrent with the Lent sermon series, kids are invited to a new 7-week Sunday School program, called “Growing with God.” The curriculum engages their hands and their hearts — to grow in faith by planting and nurturing flowers — either at home or in-person on Sunday mornings at 10:30am.  To find out more or to obtain the Zoom link, visit

Worship service and Sunday School are both in-person and online. For in-person worship, our COVID precautions include temperature checks on all staff and attendees, hand sanitizing stations, socially distanced seating, air purifiers which turn over the area in 20 minutes with 99.9% purification, and masks are required at all times. Children in Sunday School are asked to abide by the same guidelines and our Children’s ministry staff are tasked with ensuring the guidelines are followed.
