Runners Invited to Register for Annual President’s Cup 5K Race

MILLBURN, NJ – Registration is officially open for the 37th Annual Investors Bank President’s Cup Night Race, to be held on Monday, June 20th.

The 5K run, sponsored by the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce, attracts more than 1400 runners each year and follows a route along Essex Street and Millburn Avenue finishing near Charlie Brown’s Fresh Grill.  Race time is 8:00 pm but day of registration will be taken all day at The Sneaker Factory and that evening starting at 6:00 pm at the staging area at Charlie Brown’s Fresh Grill. Registration will close five minutes prior to the start of the race.

Applications are available at Sneaker Factory at 308 Millburn Avenue or on-line at www.compuscore.com.  For further information on race applications or to volunteer, call the Chamber of Commerce at 973-379-1198 or the Sneaker Factory at 973-376-6094.

 Priddy Learning Academy is providing medals to all participants in the Kids Fun Run which will be held prior to the race at 7:30p.m.on Essex Street adjacent to the Charlie Brown’s parking lot.

National Weather Service Issues Heat Advisory thru Sunday for Millburn Township

Three High-End Retailers Hit by Thefts; Millburn Police Investigating

On June 19, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Crawn responded to Neiman Marcus on a theft report. Neiman Marcus personnel report a black male wearing a red hat, black winter coat, and tan backpack concealed 2 pairs of headphones valued at $498.00 in his backpack and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
