SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - Seton Hall University College of Nursing has announced the 2014 Margaret C. Haley Awards. This year's recipient of the Margaret C. Haley Award will be Short Hills resident Mary Ellen Roberts, M.S.N./M.A. ‘90, D.N.P., R.N., A.P.N.C., FAANP, FAAN
The Haley Awards celebrate the success of Seton Hall College of Nursing alumni and provide an opportunity for current students to network with professional nurses and become a part of the legacy of Seton Hall University. The Haley Awards will be held on Monday, October 6, at the Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange.
Each year, the Margaret C. Haley Award is bestowed upon an alumnus of Seton Hall University College of Nursing who has contributed significantly to the profession of nursing. This annual award specifically honors a graduate who exemplifies the qualities that were personified in Dean Haley as she served the University from 1951 through 1967.
An assistant professor in the graduate department in the College of Nursing, Dr. Roberts is certified as an adult nurse practitioner and acute care nurse practitioner. Her professional interests are in the primary care of adult cardiovascular patients. Dr. Roberts maintains a practice with the Urban Health Initiative Program.
