When you visit the post office in Short Hills, you probably know this familiar face.  This is Troy and he’s been working for the U.S. Postal Service for four years and about a year in Short Hills.

 

The post office in Short Hills has had a presence since 1880, when Stewart Hartshorn persuaded the United States Post Office to establish a branch in Short Hills.

According to Forbes, 07078 is home to three billionaires.  Leon Cooperman has an estimated net worth of $3.4B.  He grew up in the Bronx, where his parents landed after fleeing Poland.  He was the first in his family to graduate from college (Hunter College), got an MBA from Columbia, started his career at Goldman Sachs, then made his fortune managing hedge funds.

Peter Kellogg’s net worth is estimated at $3.1B.  He ran a specialist brokerage firm, Spear, Lees and Kellogg for almost 30 years before selling it to Goldman, Sachs for $6.5B

John Overdeck, the self-made billionaire, has an estimated net worth of  $3.1B.  He too made his fortune in investments, co-founding Two Sigma Investments.

07078 is home to the Glenwood School, the #1 public elementary school in America according to Niche.com’s 2016 rankings.  The Deerfield School (ranked #2) and The Hartshorn School (ranked #3) also call 07078 home.

07078 is also home to the Short Hills Association, the oldest civic organization in the zip code, founded in 1911.
