Short Hills Macy's Employee Charged with Theft

On December 12, 2017 at 1:09 am Millburn Police Lieutenant Ronceray located a 1997 Mazda Protégé parked on Brookside Drive in the reservation in violation of the curfew/ordinance. The investigation led to the arrest of 18 year old Jasara St-Cyr out of Hillside and 20 year old Evens Jean out of Vauxhall for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ms. St-Cyr and Mr. Jean were both issued a summons and released.

On December 12, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Marone responded to Bloomingdales on a theft report. Bloomingdales personnel report a tall black female wearing a bomber jacket and blue jeans took 4 handbags valued at $2670.00 and ran out of the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On December 12, 2017 Millburn Police Officer O’Neill responded to an Essex St residence on a theft report. The victim reports the theft of cosmetics valued at $52.74 from a package delivered to her residence. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On December 12, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Aliotta responded to Bloomingdales on a credit card fraud report. The investigation led to the arrest of 32 year old Abdulai Kure out of East Orange for possession of a stolen credit card, and 24 year old Kelvin Aggrey-Arthur for forgery and credit card fraud after purchasing $977.15 worth of merchandise with a stolen credit card. Mr. Kure was released with a summons. Mr. Aggrey-Arthur was remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On December 13, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Recinos stopped a 2017 Nissan Maxima at the mall for failure to yield to pedestrians. The investigation led to the arrest of 48 year old Tonnette Sanders out of Newark on an outstanding criminal warrant out of Millburn. Ms. Sanders was placed under arrest and issued a summons. Ms. Sanders posted bail and was released.

On December 13, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Manuyag responded to Macys on a theft report. Macys personnel report 21 year old employee Keside Azu out of Union took $2000.00 worth of merchandise from the store without making payment. Mr. Azu was placed under arrest and charged with theft before being released on a summons.

On December 14, 2017 Millburn Police Officer McMillan responded to the Elizabeth Police Department on a warrant arrest. Hector Ortiz, age 36 out of Newark, was placed under arrest on an outstanding criminal warrant and remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On December 14, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Recinos stopped a 2010 BMW 335 for improper passing on Millburn Ave. The investigation led to the arrest of 21 year old Robin Vasquez out of West Orange for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Mr. Vasquez was issued a summons and released.

On December 17, 2017 Millburn Police Officers Crawn and Royce responded to Nordstrom on a fraud report. The investigation led to the arrest of 27 year old Anthony Aromi out of the Bronx for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana), hindering, and possession of a counterfeit license. Jasmine Guzman- Campbell, age 25 out of the Bronx, was placed under arrest for forgery and credit card fraud. Both individuals were released on a summons.

On December 18, 2017 Millburn Police Lieutenant Ronceray stopped a 2002 Honda Accord on Main/Essex when the driver was observed using a cell phone and not wearing a seatbelt. The investigation led to the arrest of 41 year old Brian Edwards out of Irvington for outstanding traffic warrants out of Union and North Brunswick. Mr. Edwards was issued a summons and released to the Union Police Department.

On December 18, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Barbosa responded to Neiman Marcus on a theft report. Neiman Marcus personnel report 23 year old Jeremy Alvarez out of Passaic put a jacket valued at $2495.00 on and left the store without making payment. Mr. Alvarez was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting before being remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On December 18, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Kostovski responded to the Bloomfield Police Department on a warrant arrest. Lenette Rice, age 24 out of Newark, was placed under arrest on an outstanding criminal warrant and remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On December 18, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped a 2003 Saturn Ion for an inoperable light. The investigation led to the arrest of 26 year old Armani Baptist-Hardman out of Union on an outstanding Maplewood warrant.  Amir Oglesby, age 31 out of Springfield, was arrested on an outstanding criminal warrant out of Union. Mr. Baptsit-Hardman was released with a new court date. Mr. Oglesby was turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Department.
