SHORT HILLS, N.J. — Niche.com released its annual rankings of "Best Places to Live," and Short Hills made the top 25 for New Jersey. At #23 out of over 573 ranked communities in the state, Short Hills boasts high marks for safety and education. Nationally, Short Hills is the #744 best place to live in America out of 15,750 ranked communities, placing it firmly in the top 5 percent in the nation.
Short Hills also holds the #2 spots for the best suburb to raise a family and #4 for the best place to raise a family statewide. In the education category, Short Hills is #2 for the suburbs with the best public schools in New Jersey and #3 for the best public schools in the state.
“The goal of our Best Places to Live Rankings is to provide accurate, comparable and thorough evaluations of places,” Niche explains on its website. “To do so, we’ve collected and analyzed dozens of rankings factors from federal and local government data sets. We’ve combined those with proprietary Niche data and community reviews from each area.”
