SHORT HILLS, NJ - Short Hills resident Glenn Langberg was honored by the Jewish Vocational Service of MetroWest New Jersey’s (JVS) for his philanthropic efforts during their annual Taste & Toast gala. The JVS recognizes local community leaders who provide vital support that enables the Livingston and East Orange-based nonprofit organization to fulfill its mission of “Helping People Help Themselves.” Langberg, Founder and CEO of GRL Capital Advisors, was lauded for his leadership and generosity as a Corporate Partner.

The gala, with over 300 attendees,  broke both attendance and fundraising records from years past. This year generated more than $400,000 in corporate sponsorships and charitable donations. $25,000 was raised during the event itself and matched by the presenting sponsor Valley National Bank. The funds are earmarked to purchase and operate a van that will transport JVS clients to and from internships and volunteer positions at businesses and community-based organizations located throughout Essex County.
Each year, JVS provides more than 2,000 people with the tools and training necessary to help them secure and maintain gainful employment. JVS’ diverse clientele includes immigrants and refugees; adults with physical, mental and developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder; military veterans; and job-seekers, including recent college graduates and adults 50+ looking to make a career transition.
