BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The Millburn varsity softball team piled the runs on late to close out a 13-2 victory over Bloomfield Tech on Saturday.
The Millers (13-1) had a 3-0 lead after four innings before racking up four in the fifth inning and three more runs in the sixth and seventh innings. Chloe Radtke went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI and Rachel Hubertus hit a two-run homer.
Winning pitcher Jenna Dembner also scored four runs and collected two base hits to contribute to the Millburn offense. Anna Mandel, Katy Shepard and Helen Casey each contributed two hits for Millburn.
Dembner allowed three hits in five innings pitched, and then Julie Levine allowed just one hit in two shutout innings to finish off the contest.
