MILLBURN, NJ - Two players from Millburn High School have been named to the Super Essex Conference All-Liberty Division First Team.
Helen Casey and Kaitlyn Miller both were honored as first-teamers. Casey's prolific offensive season included a .429 batting average, seven home runs, 35 RBI, and a total of 21 extra-base hits. Miller swatted 13 doubles and batted .417.
Two Millburn players, Rachel Horwitz and Katy Sheppard, landed on Second Team. Horwitz batted .352 and knocked in 11 runs. Sheppard carried a .435 batting average with five doubles and two home runs.
Honorable mention went to Abigail Policarpio, who batted .397 and scored 24 runs, and Paige Nemet, who had a .407 batting average and drove in 17 runs.
Millburn finished with a 19-9 record and shared the division championship with Caldwell.
