The Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills Announces 3rd Annual Fall Festival

Fun, Food, and Festivities for the Whole Family; Sponsorships Still Available


(Millburn, NJ) – The Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills is preparing its 3rd annual Fall Festival, a fundraiser for Millburn schools that is open to all.  This fun-filled event will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2014 at Millburn High School’s front lawn from 11 am – 3 pm.  Families of all ages are invited to enjoy games, rides, music, food, and fun and have the opportunity to learn about the Education Foundation’s efforts to support all of our schools with programming, technology and much more!

“The support for Fall Festival from Millburn-Short Hills families over the past two years has been amazing,” says the non-profit’s co-president, Robin Eichler.  “This year’s event will include entertainment and refreshments guaranteed to please the entire family from elementary through high school ages.”  Adds co-president Lauri Palomaki, “We look forward to seeing our community come together for a day of fun and fundraising.”


Fun will be had at the many carnival games and rides for all ages including such hits as: mechanical bull (back by popular demand!), bungee run, Velcro wall, sumo wrestling, 77ft obstacle course, rock wall climbing, 4 Man Energizer, World of Sports, etc.  Multiple food and refreshment vendors will satisfy all tastes.


Advance purchase of wristbands ($30) and ride/game/arts & crafts/food tickets ($1 each) are available now through September 18th at  Wristbands include access to all rides and games plus 1 popcorn or 1 cotton candy AND 1 entry for a door prize.  After September 18, wristbands are $35 and do not include the door prize entry.

The Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills is dedicated to enhancing the Millburn public school curriculum by providing equipment, technology, programs and staff development that cannot be funded within current budget caps and restrictions.  Please consider becoming an annual member for 2015-16 and joining us at our monthly meetings and seasonal events.  Other upcoming fundraising events this upcoming year include An Evening of Honor, Fashion Show Fundraiser, Cocktails and Conversation, Millburn Schools Rock and more.  2015 also marks the launch of our 2020 Vision Campaign, a five-year campaign with a goal of raising $5 million to raise the bar for Millburn-Short Hills students’ education.  These funds will provide students with challenging programs and outstanding instruction in an engaging, 21st Century learning environment.  Please visit our website or reach out to any members of our board for more information on how you can get involved.
