Wallant was a member of the brilliant group of postwar American Jewish writers
that included Philip Roth, Norman Mailer, Saul Bellow and Bernard Malamud.
Memorialized by The Edward Lewis Wallant Book Award.

There will be a short presentation about Wallant's life including displays of his paintings and newly found advertising artwork. Then Leslie Wallant, his daughter, will, talk about how he influenced and inspired her to do her own artwork and writing.

His books were published in many editions and in many languages. Many will also be on display.

Leslie will be happy to autograph the new book on behalf of her father as well as her own book.

To feed both mind and body, snacks and drinks will be offered.

Neiman Marcus personnel report a black male wearing a red hat, black winter coat, and tan backpack concealed 2 pairs of headphones valued at $498.00 in his backpack and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
