PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the following Ordinances were submitted in writing, introduced, read by title and passed on first reading at a meeting of the Township Committee of the Township of Millburn, in the County of Essex on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. They will be considered for final passage and adoption at public hearings held at a meeting beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Municipal Building, 375 Millburn Avenue, Millburn, New Jersey when and where or at such time and place to which said meeting may be adjourned, all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning said ordinances. Copies of the ordinances in full may be requested at no charge from the Millburn Clerk’s Office and are available on our township website at http://twp.millburn.nj.us/.
ORDINANCE NO. 2484-17
ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER VII “TRAFFIC”OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MILLBURN
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This Ordinance reduces the posted speed limits on Millburn Avenue, for the entire length from Short Hills Avenue to Wyoming Avenue and for the entire length of Essex Street from Millburn Avenue to Douglas Street, to twenty-five miles per hour for improved safety for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists while traveling within the downtown area and in accordance with the recommendation of Essex County.

ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER VII “TRAFFIC” OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MILLBURN
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The proposed amendments to the Traffic Ordinance are intended to regulate the use of the new road designated “Town Hall Plaza” as to direction of travel, metered parking, handicapped parking and stop intersections.

ORDINANCE TO NAME A STREET – “CORA WAY”
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this Ordinance is to name a street to be located within a subdivision under development by 201 Partners, LLC at Block 2401, Lot 4 along Old Short Hills Road.
