MILLBURN, NJ – On a primary election night, the Township Committee transacted its business Tuesday night and adjourned in just five minutes.

Without discussion, the governing body passed an ordinance revising and supplementing the salaries and salary ranges of municipal employees for the years 2013-16. The year-over-year increase for all positions is less than 1 percent.

The committee also passed a number of resolutions by consent. One of those awards a professional contract to TBR Architects & Planners LLC for restoration of the Parsil House at 361 White Oak Ridge Road. The fees for services are not to exceed $19,500.

Barton Ross will be the principal architect. Work is to be done on the roof and exterior of the formerly private residence, according to committee member Sari Greenberg.

The township has received a $150,000 grant to create a museum in the house, to be run by the Millburn-Short Hills Society.

Another resolution renewed Alcoholic Beverage Control licenses for 16 local businesses and organizations for the year July 1, 2014, to June 30, 2015.
