MILLBURN, NJ - Trader Joe's is issuing a recall for 'Trader Joe's Grainless Granola' over potential contamination Listeria monocytogenes.
The lot being recalled has 'Best By' dates from 032018 to 041018. The SKU on the product is SKU# 56307.
All potetially affected product has been removed from store shelves and has been destroyed. No illnesses have been reported to date.
Customers who purchased Grainless Granola with the specified date codes are urged not to eat it. Trader Joe's urges customers to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention "Listeriosis is a serious infection usually caused by eating food contaminated with the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. An estimated 1,600 people get listeriosis each year, and about 260 die. The infection is most likely to sicken pregnant women and their newborns, adults aged 65 or older, and people with weakened immune systems"
