MILLBURN, NJ — This week, two Millburn High School seniors were recognized by the Scholastic Art and Writing Competition for their outstanding achievement in visual art.

Gabrielle Stoller has won a Scholastic National Silver Award in Sculpture, and Kate Lama has received a Scholastic National Gold Award in Printmaking.

Both students completed their AP Art and Design portfolios last year, and are enrolled in the Millburn High School Art Consortium course this year.

After graduation, both Stoller and Lama will be continuing their art studies at the collegiate level. Lama will be attending Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia, and Stoller will be attending the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in Boston. 

The Scholastic Art and Writing National Award Ceremony is traditionally held at Carnegie Hall in New York City in the spring. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the ceremony this year will be held virtually on June 4th.
