Two Millburn Township Residents Robbed Whilst Walking By Millburn High School

On July 12, 2016 Millburn Police Officer Salemi responded to the Evesham Police Department on a warrant arrest. Katherine Cooper, age 24 out of Philadelphia, was placed under arrest for 2 active Millburn warrants and transported to the Essex County Correctional Facility on default of bail.

On July 12, 2016 Millburn Police Officer Salemi responded to the Anthropologie store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Anthropologie personnel report the theft of 21 pieces of merchandise from a front display valued at $2038.00. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On July 13, 2016 Millburn Police Officer Zonn responded to Bloomingdales on a theft report. Bloomingdales personnel report a white male wearing black shorts and an orange shirt pushing an elderly male in a wheelchair concealed 9 articles of clothing valued at $1652.99 and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On July 13, 2016 Millburn Police Officer Salemi responded to Shoprite on Main St on a theft report. Shoprite personnel report 53 year old Mark Alexander out of Newark concealed 45 pieces of merchandise in a backpack. Mr. Alexander was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting before being released with a court date.

On July 14, 2016 Millburn Police Officer Lipke responded to Avalon Salon at 356 Millburn Ave on a burglary report. Avalon Salon personnel report sometime overnight an unknown actor forced entry into a rear door and took $215.00 cash from the register. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On July 14, 2016 Millburn Police Officer Recinos responded to the Roselle Police Department on a warrant arrest. Antoinett Myers, age 28 out of Linden, was placed under arrest for an active Millburn warrant and transported to the Essex County Correctional Facility on default of bail.

On July 16, 2016 Millburn Police Officer Barbosa stopped a 2013 Chrysler 300 after his license plate reader gave an alert the vehicle was unregistered. The investigation led to the arrest of the driver 39 year old Ervens Ojentis out of Irvington for outstanding warrants out of Millburn, Kenilworth, and West Orange. Mr. Ojentis was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters. Mr. Ojentis was released with new court dates.

On July 16, 2016 Millburn Police Officer Aliotta responded to Neiman Marcus on a theft report. Neiman Marcus personnel report 58 year old Alan K. out of Edgewater put a $895.00 jacket on and left the store without making payment. Mr. K was charged with shoplifting and released with a court date.

On July 17, 2016 Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped 49 year old Lawrence Montalbano out of Bayonne after Bloomingdales personnel noticed him in the store. Mr. Montalbano had committed a theft on July 13, 2016 of 9 articles of clothing valued at $1652.99. Mr. Montalbano was also found to have an active criminal warrant out of Clifton. Mr. Montalbano was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting before being released to the Clifton Police Department.

On July 18, 2016 Millburn Police Officer Crawn responded to the Salvatore Ferragamo store at The Mall at Short Hills on a fraud report. Salvatore Ferragamo personnel report a black male approximately 6’0” wearing a blue hat purchased 2 dresses valued at $2680.00 using a credit card that was found to be stolen. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On July 19, 2016 at approximately 2:00 am 2 residents report being robbed as they walked by the Millburn High School on Millburn Ave. The residents report 2 young black males wearing dark clothing approached them and demanded their belongings. The residents turned over a wallet, cell phone, and handbag to the actors who fled in a silver colored vehicle. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On July 19, 2016 a Fairfield Drive resident responded to headquarters to report a burglary to his 2013 Mazda sometime overnight. The resident reports unknown actor/s entered the vehicle and took a pair of sunglasses and loose change. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
