“Participants will not only have the opportunity to learn from a professional golf instructor and connect with area women, they will help their neighbors in need, which has a positive impact throughout our communities,” said United Way Director Community Relations in Millburn-Short Hills Rose Twombly.
Proceeds will go toward three United Way scholarship programs that seek to remove the barriers that keep ALICE and those in poverty from achieving their potential. Through these scholarships, child care educators can access professional development opportunities, families can afford quality child care, and adults can pursue post-secondary education.
Women United is a philanthropic women’s group that helps the region’s ALICE population attain financial stability. Throughout the year, members are engaged in volunteer, fundraising and advocacy efforts.
