Vote for Millburn's Own Powdered Elephants "Monster" Today


This is the last day to help Millburn students by voting for the drug-prevention song written by three of our high school juniors, Kyle Farscht, Danielle Benna, & Jessica Yeager. You can vote as often as you like. Voting ends April 26th.

They are among 18 finalists in the New Jersey Shout Down Drugs Music Contest at the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey. Shout Down Drugs challenges high school students to create original songs to deliver the prevention message to their peers through music.

Kyle, Dani, & Jess comprise the band Powdered Elephants and hope fans will vote online for their original song, “Monster” by visiting the website and voting at 

Powdered Elephants is a pop alternative music group with members Kyle Farscht (writes the music and lyrics, produces and plays keyboard) Dani Benna (the lead vocalist) and Jess Yeager (writes lyrics, plays guitar and ukulele).  Together they want to create a positive mindset and influence teens to not use drugs.

They will perform their song “Monster” in the Prevention Concert at Daytop this Friday. The top three winners compete for one of three music contracts worth $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000 to perform their songs during the year at events around the state.
