Woman Robbed in Downtown Millburn


MILLBURN, NJ -  A 22-year-old woman was the victim of a robbery that occurred on Main Street in the vicinity of Willow Street last Wednesday, she reported to Millburn police.

The victim said she was picked up at her place of employment in the township by a friend and that there were two other people that she did not recognize also in the car. The four drove to a local bank and the woman went into the bank and cashed her paycheck. When the woman returned to the car, one of the vehicle's occupants verbally threatened her, implyed he had a gun, and demanded her cash and cellular phone. The police report states that the man did not actually display a weapon.

After the victim turned over her money and cell phone, the suspect jumped out of the vehicle on Main Street near Willow Street and fled on foot toward Ocean Street.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 18 and 25 years of age, medium build, between 5-foot-10 and 6 feet tall, last seen wearing a burgundy hoodie and blue jeans.

National Weather Service Issues Heat Advisory thru Sunday for Millburn Township

Three High-End Retailers Hit by Thefts; Millburn Police Investigating

On June 19, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Crawn responded to Neiman Marcus on a theft report. Neiman Marcus personnel report a black male wearing a red hat, black winter coat, and tan backpack concealed 2 pairs of headphones valued at $498.00 in his backpack and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
