I'm running to protect Millburn Township values with strong leadership and devotion to this amazing community. I have devoted my life to the service of others and I hope you will continue to entrust me in serving the township.

For the past three years I have worked closely with my Committee Members and through our shared goals your Township Committee has been able to advance the ideas and programs that are important to all of us. We are working hard every day to continue to bring new programs and initiatives to the community while improving current services for residents.

Volunteering has always been my passion. I chaired the Booster Club for the MHS Debate Team. I  was an active member on our Town’s Volunteer First Aid Squad for fifteen years, where I had a front row view into our town’s roads. As a current Township Committee member, I currently continue to serve on the following boards: Planning Board, Environmental Commission, Pedestrian and Traffic Circulation, Shade Tree Commission , Parking Ad Hoc, Finance Committee, Emergency Management Council, the Joint Dispatch and the Joint Sewer of Essex and Union County.

The Paper Mill Playhouse is one of our important gems here in Millburn and I will continue to work with their board members to discuss their public outreach and working on ways to assist them in continuing to shine.

You will find me at Millburn town hall almost daily meeting with residents and assisting them with their needs or meeting with other elected officials or state representatives and advocating for our wonderful community.

I also get to have a bit of fun by attending ribbon cuttings, officiating weddings, issuing Proclamations and attending our Chamber of Commerce events in order to support our local merchants.  I am lucky to be invited to many cultural events in town in order to celebrate our diverse community.

I have been to DC and Trenton to lobby and advocate for flood mitigation for Millburn Township. Through these efforts I have met and developed relationships with many people and other elected officials. I have a great relationship with our County Executive and the County Engineer. We contribute a lot of funding to the county and there are many services we depend on; paving projects, mosquito control, programs for our seniors, flood mitigation, and recently after 10 years we are at the final planning stages of getting a much-needed traffic light at Hobart and White Oak Ridge Road. These projects depend on effective communication and responsiveness.

We are proud of many of the new initiatives within the past three years such as  the first new turf field in 10 years and live streaming all our meetings on our own YouTube Channel. We passed several new ordinances to help our commercial property owners and merchants. We worked very hard together to achieve this.

In order to recognize the amazing cultural diversity of our community Millburn Township began an Advisory Committee on Culture, Engagement, Diversity and Arts in 2019, our first public art project showcased 24 community organizations. The Millwheel project was a tremendous event that we are particularly proud of. I look forward to fostering our growing culturally diverse community .

This year alone many new businesses have opened up and are flourishing.  As the liaison to the Environmental Commission we will soon consider an ordnance which will limit the use of  “single use plastics”.  I am very proud to have been part of these instrumental achievements and look forward to continuing to strive for greatness.

I grew up in Millburn. My husband and I raised our three beautiful children here. I am committed to making sure Millburn Township is always a place we can be proud of, and a great community to live and raise a family.

There will undoubtedly be unknown challenges ahead of us, but I will continue to do what is best for all of Millburn Township, our residents, and our entire community.
