Millburn Police Investigate Theft by Nordstrom Employee

On February 6, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped a 2009 Jaguar XKR as it exited the mall for having no front plate. The investigation led to the arrest of 50 year old Christopher Garibian of Morristown on an outstanding traffic warrant out of Morris Township. Mr. Garibian was placed under arrest, issued summonses, and released after posting bail.

 On February 7, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped a 2004 Infiniti I35 on Rt 124/Broad St for having no front plate. The investigation led to the arrest of 29 year old Roody Louinis of Schenectady, NY for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Louinis was issued a summons and released.

On February 9, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Hunt responded to the Apple store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Apple personnel report 32 year old Toddy Chifura of Newark concealed 5 items valued at $326.90 in a bag and left the store without making payment. Mr. Chifura was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting before being released on a summons.

On February 9, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Nacim responded to the Sunglass Hut store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Sunglass Hut personnel report 19 year old Tyler Campbell of Chatham concealed 2 pairs of sunglasses valued at $426.00 in his jacket and left the store without making payment. Mr. Campbell was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting and contempt of court and remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On February 9, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Hunt responded to Nordstrom on a fraud report. Nordstrom personnel report 23 year old employee Lisa Okpala of Irvington used a fraudulent credit card on January 25, 2018 to purchase $4685.00 worth of merchandise. Ms. Okpala was placed under arrest and charged with credit card fraud and identity theft and released on a summons.

On February 9, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Wichelns responded to JFK Pkwy/Parsonage Hill Rd on a report of a disabled vehicle. The vehicle was located and found to have a license plate belonging to a different vehicle. The investigation led to the arrest of 27 year old Malcolm Wormley-Agee of Irvington for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Mr. Wormley-Agee was issued a summons and released.

On February 11, 2018 Millburn Police Lieutenant Ronceray stopped a 2014 Ford F150 for going through a red light on Essex St. The investigation led to the arrest of 21 year old Joseph Zecca of East Hanover and 22 year old Josver Sanchez of Maplewood for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Both individuals were released on a summons.

On February 12, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Royce observed a 2011 Nissan Maxima stopped at the light at Brookside/South Orange for several light cycles without moving. The investigation led to the arrest of the 23 year old driver Oluwakemi Williams of West Orange for driving under the influence. Ms. Williams was issued a summons and released.

On February 12, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped a 1994 Ford Mustang on Millburn/Cypress when the owner was found to have an outstanding traffic warrant out of Chatham. Holly Wortman, age 43 of Morristown, was placed under arrest on the outstanding warrant. Mrs. Wortman was released with a new court date.

On February 12, 2018 Millburn Police Detective Derosa charged 35 year old Christopher Morales of Somerville and 34 year old Antoinette Holmes of Colonia with burglary and conspiracy related to an April 2, 2017 burglary of a Forest Drive residence. Both individuals are currently incarcerated in other jurisdictions.

On February 13, 2018 Millburn Police Officers Kostovski and Aliotta responded to the Hillside Police Department on a warrant arrest. Antoine Green, age 24 of Orange, was placed under arrest on an outstanding traffic warrant and remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.
