On December 6, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Laverty responded to Kings on a theft report. Kings personnel report a white male approximately 5’9” between 50-60 years old took a carriage full of groceries into the parking lot without making payment. The merchandise, valued at $463.50, was retrieved and brought back to the store. The male left in a black Buick. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On December 6, 2017 Millburn Police Sergeant Delrusso stopped a 2017 Infiniti QX80 on Rt 24 East after it made an unsafe lane change on JFK Pkwy near the mall. The investigation led to the arrest of 24 year old Jaleel Henry out of Brooklyn for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a counterfeit driver’s license. Natasha Parks, a 29 year old passenger from Brooklyn, was placed under arrest for hindering, exhibiting a counterfeit driver’s license, and falsely incriminating another. Mr. Henry and Ms. Parks were released with a summons.

On December 7, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Shanahan responded to the Sunglass Hut store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Sunglass Hut personnel report a white male wearing a blue jacket with hood and blue jeans concealed a pair of sunglasses valued at $320.00 in his jacket and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On December 8, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Hunt responded to a Tennyson Drive residence on a theft report. The resident reports sometime overnight unknown actor/s took his 2018 Audi S7 from the driveway. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On December 8, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Tavares responded to an Ironwood Road residence on a theft report. The resident reports sometime overnight unknown actor/s took her 2018 Mercedes E400 from the garage. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On December 8, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Tavares responded to the Macys deck on a report of 2 suspicious males. The investigation led to the arrest of 20 year old Keshawn Newsome out of Newark who was found to have a stolen laptop computer and an outstanding criminal warrant out of Newark. Mr. Newsome was charged with receiving stolen property and released with a court date.

On December 9, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Barbosa responded to the Burberry store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Burberry personnel report a black female wearing a black jacket, dark pants, black sneakers, and carrying 2 handbags along with a black male wearing a grey beanie, brown/white jacket, and dark pants concealed 17 scarves valued at $8515.00 in a handbag and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On December 9, 2017 Millburn Police Officer O’Neill responded to the Apple store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. A patron reports putting her IPhone down to charge in the store, and returning  a few minutes later discovering it missing. The actor is described as a Hispanic female wearing a black shirt, green jacket, and grey sweat pants with the word love written on it. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On December 9, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Barbosa responded to Guest Services at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. A patron reports the theft of her wallet from her handbag while at Joe’s American Bar and Grill. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On December 10, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Crawn responded to Bloomingdales on a theft report. Bloomingdales personnel report 32 year old Tyree Eubanks out of Philadelphia took a coat valued at $1695.00 and left the store without making payment. Mr. Eubanks returned to the store and fraudulently opened an account using fictitious information. Mr. Eubanks was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting and fraud before being remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On December 11, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Kostovski responded to Macys on a fraud report. Macys personnel report 34 year old Carlos Almonte out of New York, NY picked up an order paid for with a stolen credit card. Mr. Almonte had furnished a counterfeit North Carolina license as identification. Mr. Almonte was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a counterfeit license and theft by deception before being released on a summons.
