6th Annual Short Hills House Tour to Benefit Millburn Township Public School Special Services & Promote Autism Awareness
Preview Party: 5/3, 6pm - 8pm
House Tour: 5/5, 1pm - 4pm

Autism affects 1 in 41 children in New Jersey.

The 6th Annual Short Hills House Tour to Benefit Millburn Township Public School Special Services & Promote Autism Awareness will take place on May 5, 2016 from 1pm-4pm, with a Preview Party on May 3rd between 6pm-8pm. Tickets are available for $25.00, and may be purchased via​ ​Eventbrite​.

It’s an ​Architectural and Real Estate ​Short Hills House Tour ​that brings together our community, spreading Autism Awareness & building acceptance of others. Proceeds from this fantastic event help assist the Director of Special Services, Jennifer Sowa, fund further parental and professional development opportunities for the entire district; she doesn’t just target special services with her programs.

Last year’s tour provided the following professional and parental development opportunities.

  •   Four full paid grants to the Autism NJ State Conference and two to the Autism NJ Transition   Conference

  •   Speaker regarding "The Power of Mindsets, Motivation, and Resilience in Students"

  •   Seminar on "A Parent’s Guide to Signs and Strategies to Help Reduce Anxiety in Children"

  •   Guest author from Harvard, Dr. Brooks, on his book “Raising Resilient Children"

    This Architectural & Real Estate House House Tour in Short Hills gives the participants the opportunity to view high-end, local homes all in one day. It showcases architecture & design while providing a pulse on our local real estate market. The homes on the tour never disappoint, with the prices typically ranging from $1M - $5M. At each mansion, participants will receive a light lunch, treats, giveaways, and/or prizes, along with literature about Autism.

    Only the first 100 participants will be invited to the Preview Party, Thursday, May 3rd from 6pm-8pm at one of the fabulous Short Hills mansions on the tour. So buy your tickets today!
