The Millburn Free Public Library will be closed to the public starting at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, March 13 through Sunday, March 29, 2020. All programs and events that were scheduled during this time period are cancelled.
The library will tentatively re-open on Monday, March 30, conditions permitting.
The closure is to help control the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus and follows the announcement that township schools will be closed.
Due dates for items already checked out are being extended and since the Millburn Library is fine free you don't have to worry about late charges.
Millburn cardholders are reminded that the library provides an array of electronic resources including e-books, streaming movies, TV shows, audiobooks and more. Please visit the library website www.millburnlibrary.org and click on e-Resources to see what you can access. There are also two Little Free Libraries in town that will be stocked and replenished periodically to help folks who prefer a physical book. These are located in Taylor Park and at the Short Hills train station.
Library staff will also be available to answer phone calls, e-mails and text messages on a limited basis on weekdays. To text us, click the "ask a question" button on the library homepage.
