ESSEX COUNTY, NJ - The Millburn-Short Hills Democratic Committee is stronger than ever and proudly represents itself along with Essex County Executive Joseph Di Vincenzo and newly re-elected Essex County Democratic Chairman LeRoy Jones at the Essex County Democratic Reorganization meeting.
The local committee currently has a record 29 of 32 District Leader spots filled. We have a female opening in District 5, and both a male and female opening in District 14. If you do not know your district number you can check on your sample ballot or call the township clerk.
We would love to have all of our available seats filled. As per the committees’ by-laws the purpose of the committee is to help insure that local, county, state and national democrats are elected. It is not our duty to establish or dictate governmental policies. Although your district may be currently filled there are other opportunities for you to get involved, be engaged, and help the party reach its goals. The Democratic Party has a very big tent and everyone is welcome. If you would like to help, or have any questions, please contact the Chairman Annette Romano. The committee would love to hear from you.
