MILLBURN, NJ - In a post on Facebook, local business Squirrel and the Bee grainless bake shop announced that it was switching up its business model in a major way.

"It is with mixed emotions that we announce the closing of our retail cafe as of today, August 11th," the statement posted by owner Michelle Retik read in part.

It continued, "And, we are excited to announce that we are getting close to the launch of a new wholesale line! The mission of Squirrel&TB is to bring better (for you) and delicious food to as many people as possible, for both those who need it and those who choose it."

The new business model for the shop will see Squirrel and the Bee continue to take orders from their e-commerce shop. Additionally, the store is also looking to partner with other stores to sell their products in the physical marketplace.

In her statement, Retik also said that the customers she and her store have served over the years have become like family to her. She finished with a simple thanks to her clientele.

"I have loved this journey so far and look forward to sharing the next steps with you as we grow.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. In good health and with love. -Michelle," Retik wrote at the end of the post.
