MILLBURN, NJ — As part of a push to support businesses who have lost sales as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Millburn Township will be closing down Main Street between Millburn Avenue and Essex Street for the entire month of August.

The closure will begin this Thursday, July 30 at 4:00 p.m. and run through Monday, August 31 at 7:00 a.m. A a result of the planned closure, restaurants, fitness and art studios will have the opportunity to utilize this stretch of Main Street during the month to offer goods and services.

Please check with your favorite businesses to see if they are hosting classes or events. Lot 1 (Main St. & Essex St.) will continue to operate as outdoor dining space, except for Tuesdays during the Farmers Market. No parking will be allowed.

In addition to the Main Street closure, Sidewalk Sales are returning to Millburn during the month of August! Retailers are encouraged to hold Sidewalk Sales in front of their businesses during regular hours on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the month of August.
