MILLBURN, NJ — The latest figures from Essex County on July 18 showed no new COVID-19 cases in Millburn, a welcome sight in the midst of the pandemic.

Overall, Millburn had 154 cases recorded in the county records. One case had been reassigned, bringing the township's total down from the previous count of 155.

Across Essex County, a reassignment of cases lead to a decrease in total cases, from 19,188 to 19,161. The county has also seen 1,830 deaths.

Statewide, New Jersey had seen 176,551 cases and 13,710 deaths as of the latest update. Overall, the number of infected individuals in any municipality is likely to be much greater than indicated as this data only includes persons who have been tested and whose lab results have been reported in the State’s data system.
