Dr. Michael Norris, museum educator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, will be presenting his lecture "Eternal Spring" at the Millburn Library on Monday, April 17 at 2pm. Wander vicariously through fabulous private gardens, from ancient to medieval, brought to you by the art and plants of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and its branch museum, The Cloisters.
Dr. Norris has given lectures for more than twenty years, especially in classical and medieval art, the areas of his expertise. Based in Teaneck, New Jersey, He delivers PowerPoint lectures to libraries, schools, retirement communities, and clubs, many geared especially for New Jersey audiences.
Norris holds a bachelor’s of arts degree in the classics from the University of California at San Diego, and a master’s of arts degree in the classics and a doctoral degree in art history from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He spent 20 years at the Cloisters Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and has lectured all over the world. Find more information about Michael Norris at his website.
