Museum Educator Dr. Michael Norris to Present Art Lecture at Millburn Library

Dr. Michael Norris, museum educator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, will be presenting his lecture "Eternal Spring" at the Millburn Library on Monday, April 17 at 2pm. Wander vicariously through fabulous private gardens, from ancient to medieval, brought to you by the art and plants of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and its branch museum, The Cloisters.

Dr. Norris has given lectures for more than twenty years, especially in classical and medieval art, the areas of his expertise. Based in Teaneck, New Jersey, He delivers PowerPoint lectures to libraries, schools, retirement communities, and clubs, many geared especially for New Jersey audiences.

Norris holds a bachelor’s of arts degree in the classics from the University of California at San Diego, and a master’s of arts degree in the classics and a doctoral degree in art history from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He spent 20 years at the Cloisters Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and has lectured all over the world. Find more information about Michael Norris at his website.

MILLBURN, NJ - Registration for our newest program, Adult Open Gym Volleyball, is now open!  This program is available for any Millburn - Short Hills resident men and women ages 18 and over.  Adult Open Gym Volleyball will take place at Millburn Middle School on Tuesday evenings starting Tuesday, September 12. Millburn Police Investigating a Series of Motor Vehicle Thefts and Burglaries

On August 15, 2017 Millburn Police Officer McMillan responded to Petsmart on a theft report. Petsmart personnel report 28 year old employee Victoria Owusu out of Jersey City took $740.00 in cash over the last month from her register. Ms. Owusu was placed under arrest and charged with theft before being released on a summons.
