MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The first round of voting has closed in New Jersey Monthly's poll for Best Irish Pub, with Maplewood's St. James's Gate finishing in the top five.
With the field now reduced to twenty remaining contenders, the next round of voting will reduce it to just ten pubs in the running for the title of NJ's Best Irish Pub.
This week’s round of voting runs until Monday, March 13, at 2 p.m.
Once the votes are tallied, the top ten pubs will go on to the next round of voting, followed by a Final Four Championship Round, which starts March 21, according to New Jersey Monthly's website.
St. James's Gate was in tenth place as of Wednesday, March 8, with Trenton's Tir Na Nog in the top spot.
