Annual Short Hills House Tour Supporting Autism Awareness and Millburn Special Services Celebrates 5th Year

SHORT HILLS, NJ - The 5th Annual Short Hills House Tour to Benefit Millburn Special Services and Promote Autism Awareness will take place on May 6, 2017, from 1 pm to 4 pm, with a preview party on May 4th between 6 - 8 pm. Tickets are available for $25.00, and may be purchased via ​Eventbrite. All proceeds directly benefit​ spreading autism awareness in Millburn Township Public Schools. 

Autism affects 1 in 41 children in New Jersey. 

With those astonishing numbers, Sales Associate & Blogger, Melanie Rosenbaum of Real Short Hills along with Keller Williams Premier Properties have put together an ARCHITECTURAL AND REAL​ ESTATE HOUSE TOUR experience in which participants will be given the opportunity to view local​ available Keller Williams Premier Properties Real Estate in Millburn and Short Hills, with properties usually ranging $1M - $5M. On the day of the tour, participants will receive a light lunch from Guaranteed Rate, tape measures from Acres Title, treats, and/or giveaways at each of the homes from local service providers. The participants will see the work of design professionals, mortgage brokers, realtors, and other service providers all coming together.

A Short Hills House Tour Preview Party will be held on Thursday, May 4th, from 6 pm - 8 pm in which participants will have the chance to spend time in one of the tour homes. Last year’s home was a 10,000​ sq ft modern new construction design/ build by upscale local architects, Simonian Rosenbaum Architects. With rooms amazingly designed by Maura Buckley, Uma Stewart, Michelina K., Contemporary Art and​ Editions, and Laura Credico, along with music by Eyeronics. 

On Saturday, May 6, between 1 - 4 pm, participants are welcome to attend the 5th Annual Short Hills House Tour to Benefit Millburn Special Services and Promote Autism Awareness. All proceeds enable certain Millburn Public School personnel to attend Autism New Jersey’s 35th Annual Conference in October. Conference content will offer up-to-date and evidence-based teaching strategies and resources to help them serve students with ASD even more effectively. Additionally, Millburn Township Public Schools via the Department of Special Services will utilize fundraising efforts to further opportunities for parental and professional development throughout the school district.

On April 18, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Lanni stopped a 2003 Acura 3.2 on Essex St when his license plate reader showed the registered owner had a suspended license and had an outstanding traffic warrant out of Millburn.
